About Us
We are a specialist Bear shop located at Ridgeway Craft Centre on the outskirts of Sheffield, on the border of Derbyshire and South Yorkshire in the picturesque village of Ridgeway.
Housed on the first floor
of a restored and converted 17th Century farmhouse, the Bear Emporium overlooks
the courtyard complete with its own well.
The craft centre was opened in 1987 and is host to 10 individual crafts as
well as a 'farmhouse kitchen' and a garden centre along side.
Away from the hustle and bustle of a busy town, in a village that was voted
the best village in the East Midlands Division of Britain in Bloom 2003.
We stock many kinds of bears from cute and cuddly to collector bears! We also manufacture on site various types of giftware from hand painted wall plaques, book ends, teddybear mobiles, to hand engraved glasses all based around everyone's favourite cuddlies; the teddy bear!
Throughout the year we attend various craft events and bear fairs around the country in an effort to share the wonders of teddy bears. Check the 'See Us At' page for events we will be attending in your area.
At our ''Teddy Bear Hospital'' we sympathetically repair and restore your well loved bears, from cleaning to dog attacks! All are given special TLC whilst in our care.
We create our own one of a kind artist bears - Wishing Well Bears (formerly known as Lynn's Little Gems). All our own bears are made using traditional methods from mohair, alpaca, glass eyes and cotter pin joints. Commissions for christenings, birthdays, weddings etc. welcomed.
Since its foundation in 2002 The Bear Emporium has expanded the range of Bears considerably to be the areas leading specialist Bear shop.
